What about the “missing corner”?

As I mentioned in a previous blog regarding “negative” space, a missing corner might be a challenge, not a reason to sell a house! The reason I say that? It happened to one of my clients. She just had bought a house she, and her entire family, absolutely loved. A consultant came in, told her right away that there was a missing corner and that she should sell it. What devastating news!

She called me for a consultation. Yes, there was a missing corner in the house, and yes it was in the “wealth area”. Did they have any financial issues? Certainly not. Was there a missing corner on the overall property? No. Would we pay attention to the area outside of the house of that missing corner? Certainly, but certainly not a reason to sell a house she just bought and that she loved.
