Good or Bad Feng Shui?

Many times, we hear that concern or question… Is it bad Feng Shui to have this or that? Is it good Feng Shui to bring this or that into my house?

Let me put you at ease right away, there is no such thing as good or bad Feng Shui, I mean, almost!

Of course, most of us will state, as it is common sense, that having dead plants cannot be considered good, like you wouldn’t leave an old, dirty rag on the floor in the middle of your living room.

Sed ut perspiciatis, unde omnis iste natus error sit voluptatem accusantium doloremque laudantium, totam rem aperiam eaque ipsa, quae ab illo inventore veritatis et quasi architecto beatae vitae dicta sunt, explicabo.

Some things, though, might bring challenges.

Clutter is one of them. In any space, even the space you don’t think about every day, like the storage, the attic, or the cellar, will often be a reflection of challenges in these areas in your life.

It is not about good or bad; it is about what makes sense to you and what your priorities are at a certain time. And this might evolve over time. You probably read somewhere that a red door is good for business??? Before you paint your store or business entrance door red, you should ask yourself a few questions! Do YOU like red? Is red going to be a good color to match with the rest of the building or the environment? Red is used to get attention and is used in a lot of logos, but it is also a color more often used for doors in Asian culture than in Western ones.

There is no such thing as bad or good. Some spaces may be challenging but if the changes are positive to YOU, it is good Feng Shui

Some consultants will tell you to get rid of too many books. If you feel that you have too many, and too many you are not attached to, go ahead, get rid of them, sell them, donate them. But if you love entering your space, your home, or even your office and seeing these beautiful bookshelves full of books you love makes you happy, keep them. It is your space after all.

Depending on the areas you would like to change in your life, a consultant might suggest changes, adding elements, colors, or maybe moving paintings or objects. The essential is that YOU feel that it makes sense for you at that moment, and it will be good for you. Trust your intuition.
